The temple complex (which spans maaany kms) was built in the 12th century! Moving on from there, Katie and I opted to skip Vietnam because we realized we'd have to rush through the country too much to make it worth it. ... And this way, Katie was able to see some of southern Thailand, which she'd been missing out on! Obviously, island time was a necessity. Phuket was like Ocean City on steroids.
